We adopted Luci on December 23, 2001 from the North Shore Animal League. She
is 3 years old. We fell in love with her at first sight! When we held her we knew she had to be ours. She was so sweet
and affectionate and we didn't care that she shed all over us!
When they informed us that this special cat had a heart condition, we
were concerned...but we knew we would take her home with us no matter what. She just simply crawled right into
our hearts! We named her Luci after Lucy Ricardo because we both love the old show "I Love Lucy".
Our Kitty has to take medicine twice a day and go for regular echocardiograms.
They tell us she might have a shorter life than other cats but we don't like to think about that too much. We enjoy
her everyday we have her here with us! She needs lots of love and attention but she is so easy to please. She seems
to live for a spot on one of our laps, where she can purr and knead and then curl up in a ball and sleep soundly while we
pet her! We consider ourselves lucky and hope that she is very happy here.
Luci's favorite food: Meow Mix Original
Luci's favorite place: On one of our laps! (Luci will do anything to get on one
of our laps. Sometimes she jumps up on us before we can even finish sitting down in a chair!)
Luci's least favorite things: vacuum cleaners and strangers!
We encourage everyone who wants a cat or dog to consider adopting one
from a no-kill shelter. The North Shore Animal League rescued our sweet
cat from a kill shelter and we hate to think that we might have never been able to experience her special kind of love.
If you give to charity, please remember places that care for animals and have a no kill policy. They really care! ( NSAL
has even promised to pay for all of Luci's heart medicine and heart tests for her entire life!)
We Love You, Luci!!!!!!!!!!
